WP1.AZ3 - Development of methodologies for high-resolution morphobathymetric survey

The Action focus on the development of multibeam acoustic methodologies, as well as interferometric, for shallow waters (<10 m) combined with optical instrumentation (hyperspectral images). The suveys could quantify the sedimentary volumes that have been moved, the morphobathymetric changes, and the evolution of bedforms. In this way, the nature and intensity of the predominant coastal processes could be understood.

The surveys could also supply useful information in order to assess the distribution and status of the biotic features in coastal habitats (e.g. Posidonia oceanica grasslands, coral reef areas).
