WP4.AZ1 - State of the art Analysis

The Action aims to survey the forecasting systems (sea level, waves, currents) existing in the Mediterranean Sea and the Italian seas, and to assess the characteristics and potential of these systems and the related products. This shows the strengths and weaknesses, gaps, overlaps and redundancies, and therefore it could draw up a list of priorities to be faced during the project. Moreover, the Action aims to operate a synergy of all the existing activities that offer operational marine forecasting systems, implementing an adequate structure for coordination, collection and redistribution of the results. Furthermore, an interaction with some of the potential users and consumers of the products of these systems is necessary in order to understand their needs.
