WP2.AZ2 - Development of SAR component of satellite observing system

The Action aims to develop a system that provides products based on SAR data for the coastal test areas. The research is divided into two main parts:

  1. development of algorithms for the high-resolution estimation of the current, wave and wind fields, using SAR data in C-band and X-band;

  2. development of advanced techniques of satellite SAR interferometry (DInSAR) for the measurement of coastal ground deformations, related to subsidence and landslide phenomena.

For both of these developments, the Action proposes to use the data acquired from new generation SAR sensors, especially those of the Italian Cosmo-SkyMED constellation, considering the ASI programs.
