WP2.AZ4 - Development of LIDAR systems for marine parameters measurement

The Action aims to provide the observing system with LIDAR fluorosensor systems for surface and water column measures (e.g. Chlorophyll a, CDOM, etc.) and possibly with a dual-frequency LIDAR system for coastal bathymetric measurements. The activity assesses solutions for the installation of LIDAR systems on buoys, oceanographic vessels, offshore platforms (e.g. Acqua Alta, located off the Venetian coast). Moreover, it analyzes the possibility of developing the LIDAR systems listed above from the existing prototypes or from commercial tools; it developes a suitable acquisition, processing and data transmission software.
